GeoSneak

Hide-and-seek played across real streets and real parks. Your position pings on a timer. Get within ten metres and call Found — or get it wrong, and you're the one who's out.

No app store listing yet — this runs on a private build while we test it on foot.

What it is

A hiding game that needs real ground under it

Everyone opens GeoSneak in the same park, campus, or neighbourhood block. There's no board, no screen standing in for the world — the world is the board. Your phone reports where you actually are, on a timer everyone can see coming.

You're hunting and being hunted at once. Close the distance on someone and call Found before they call it on you. Get caught bluffing — an empty Found with nobody in range — and you're out just the same.

How a hunt works

Four phases, in order, every match

01

Scatter

The room master starts the hunt and everyone gets a head start to spread out. GPS is already live — catching isn't, yet.

02

Ping

On a fixed or randomised interval, every active player's position flashes on the map for a few seconds. Disguise it, or go dark and skip it.

03

Found

Get within the catch radius and call it. A real catch scores a point and eliminates them. A wrong call eliminates you instead.

04

Sudden death

The closing stretch pings fast and disguises stop working. Nowhere stays hidden for long once the clock runs down.

Built for real GPS

Fair rules for phones that don't agree on where you're standing

Ten metres, not three

Two honest phones can each report several metres of GPS uncertainty and still look ten metres apart while standing side by side. The catch radius is set to match reality, not a tape measure — with stricter and looser presets for tight groups or dense city blocks.

No coin-flip catches

If you and your target both call Found within the same second, neither catch counts. Both of you sit out a short lockout instead of the outcome coming down to whoever's connection happened to be faster.

Two ways to disguise a ping

Hyper Button swaps your position for a random decoy nearby. Ghost mode sends nothing at all. Each one costs a limited-use charge, and each gives something away in exchange for the cover.

We're testing this outdoors, right now

GeoSneak doesn't have a public release yet — it's being played and adjusted by a small group in the field. If you want in on the next match, say so.
